Dallara Stradale
THE PROJECT
CONTEXT
For the first time in its history, Dallara entered the road-car segment with the Stradale — operating between uncompromising racing heritage and the expectations of everyday driving. This was not an incremental evolution. It was a strategic expansion beyond the track.
ROLE
Granstudio partnered with Dallara as a design collaborator, working alongside engineering from the earliest stages to align performance, form, and experience as one integrated system.
THE SHIFT
this was not about designing a supercar as an object.
At surface level, the objective was clear: deliver uncompromised performance while preserving the pleasure of driving, without diluting Dallara’s racing DNA. But the real shift was cultural, not technical. Racing DNA could not simply be transferred into a road car. It had to be translated.

“Performance alone was not enough. The experience had to feel right.”
APPROACH
SENSE
We immersed ourselves in Dallara’s world, understanding its racing culture, engineering constraints, and ambitions. Together, we identified what truly needed to be preserved and what could evolve.
SHAPE
Using phygital workflows, we shaped the vehicle experience across exterior, interior, and interaction. Concepts were continuously validated through spatial simulations and physical-digital prototypes, allowing teams to experience decisions before committing to them.
MAKE
By aligning design intent with engineering and ergonomics early, performance and usability evolved together — reducing late-stage compromises and enabling coherence across disciplines.

“Design, engineering, and experience evolved as one system.”
OUTCOME

WHAT CHANGED
clarity, confidence, and alignment
Faster team alignment and earlier decision-making, reduced uncertainty in complex trade-offs and a shared vision grounded in experience, not assumptions
