THE PROJECT
CONTEXT
MOBJECT explores how mobility can evolve beyond fixed vehicle typologies. As cities and lifestyles change, there is a need for adaptable solutions that can respond to different uses, environments, and user needs.
ROLE
Granstudio developed MOBJECT as a research initiative, defining a modular system that combines product, service, and experience into a flexible mobility framework.

THE SHIFT
Mobility shifts from fixed vehicles to adaptable objects.
MOBJECT introduces a system where form, function, and use can evolve over time, allowing mobility solutions to respond to different contexts rather than remaining static.

APPROACH
SENSE
We explored how mobility behaviors evolve across different urban contexts, identifying the need for systems that can adapt to changing uses, environments, and timeframes rather than serving a single fixed function.
SHAPE
We developed a modular framework where mobility objects can be configured, combined, and reinterpreted, enabling different scenarios while maintaining a coherent design language and system logic.
MAKE
Concept scenarios and design explorations translated this system into tangible objects, demonstrating how modularity can enable adaptable mobility solutions that evolve with user needs.

OUTCOME

MOBJECT proposes a new category of mobility objects
where modular elements create adaptable systems rather than fixed vehicles. Each configuration responds to different uses, enabling mobility solutions that evolve with context, time, and user needs.
WHAT CHANGED

from fixed products to evolving systems

The project reframes mobility from fixed products to evolving systems, demonstrating how adaptability can become a core principle of future mobility design.
