The Dallara Stradale is the first road going car from the legendary Italian race car specialists. Our design reflects the vision behind it: rediscover the real pleasure of driving on the road or on the track.
Blending uncompromized racing genes with elegant shapes to reflect the beautiful duality of the vision behind it.
“After I first met Giampaolo Dallara some years ago I never forgot his human warmth and that deep passion for building cars that is at the heart of his legendary career. When I heard about his plans to realize his lifelong dream to build his own car, we absolutely wanted to design it.
He imagined a car that he could drive with his granddaughter through the hills of his native region all the way to the Mediterranean sea, have a great seaside lunch there and on the way back make a detour to the Mugello race track to make a lap record before turning home.
The duality of his vision was so beautiful and pure that from the outset we felt that our task would be to give shape to exactly that. Not more, not less.” LV
Giving the shape to the Dallara Stradale meant translating Giampaolo Dallara's dream into a sculpture. A dream nourished through a long career full of passion for racing. For this reason we didn’t want to impose a pre-established stylistic idea, but instead let the shape evolve naturally during the project, in a continuous interaction between our stylistic ideas and the engineers at Dallara. This process was driven by the duality of the briefing: designing a car that is an uncompromised performace car, but also a design that evokes the simple and human pleasure of driving through wandering hill roads.

Exterior Performance Design: Aerodynamics for Downforce
Granstudio and Dallara joined forces to shape the car's layout, resulting in a distinctive aero configuration. This unique design routes the intercooler cooling flow through two air channels carved in the car's hood, maintaining clean flows on the car's sides for efficient brake air outlet. This layout delivers impressive Stradale performance: boasting over 800 kilograms of downforce and an astounding 2g of lateral acceleration.

Interior performance design: cocooning the driver
The interiors are in line with the whole design philosophy of the project: simple, honest and purposeful. The design of the interior is in perfect harmony with the exterior, and in complete harmony with the human body.
In fact the interior is conceived to maximize the physical contact between the driver and the vehicle, strengthening the driver’s rapport with the car and the pleasure of driving. The result is an interior that is mainly formed by the carbon fibre chassis tub, in addition to which padding is added that supports the body all around: seat, back, head and legs. The supports are also creating a generous lateral surface to give comfort to the body when driving at high speeds around bends. The back support can be conveniently removed to create storage space for personal belongings, such as a helmet.
The dashboard is reduced to its essence: all commands are centered around the driver, enabling full control of the car without taking your eyes of the road.
