Giving life to a two-soul hyper-SUV
Granstudio designs a new typology of car for Drako Motors, the start-up born in Silicon Valley. Thanks to our phygital design process, we created a new typology of EV that combines the looks and performance of a hypercar with the versatility of an SUV.

from ideation to prototyping
For this project, we fully exploited the potential of Granstudio's mixed reality tool, DigiPHY, to complete the challenge in record time. The Granstudio team needed to deliver a comfortable and spacious interior without compromising performance and aerodynamics. The balance of these two aspects is the essence of Drako Dragon.
Hyper Performance
The design was specifically created to embody the exceptional power of Drako's 2000HP EV drivetrain. The car's front features the air duct and big fenders, highlighting its performance and aerodynamic efficiency. The C pillar acts as an air channel, creating a seamless surface that surrounds the rear end. The 'codatronca' is the ultimate representation of a true sports car's aerodynamics.
Versatility
Our initial focus was the cabin, which we designed ‘inside-out’ with DigiPHY. We prioritized driving comfort, luxurious seating for five, and ample trunk space. Substituting the B pillar with generous gullwing doors ensures a perfect ingress and egress for front and rear passengers, yet their specific design still respects tight parking spots.
Mixed reality design process
To create the versatile Drako Dragon, we took a phygital approach to the process. Our mixed reality tool, DigiPHY, played a vital role in completing this project. The result? We made it to complete the task in record time; an intense process that usually takes many more months and an exorbitant budget to finalize.
Phygital packages
The convenience of contrasting various phygital packages with just a few clicks via DigiPHY made the process even more engaging. This user-focused process allowed us to define a new type of package that creates a unique combination of performance, ergonomics, and versatility.
